Pretec has launched a 1 GB MMC - The World's Largest Capacity and Fastest MMC. Not far to go before you'll be able to use your N-Gage as an iPod.

yeah what insert_name said... MMC? and is this an add-on piece of pricey hardware to be released for the n gage? ohh great.. *huh*

    ohh its a memory card...

dows any one actually have an N-gage?

I am unsure as to why so many are against them. True, the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP are being discussed, but to be honest the N-Gage isnt in that category of handheld gaming, remember its a phone, the PSP wont be in your local Vodaphone store. For what they are at the moment, they are good pieces of kit, perhaps a little pricey at the moment but give it time ;) , check their site here and some of the latest games look more than decent for that long train ride home...

I dont personally have one, but my current phone is really annoying me so i could trade for one fear

Yes I own one, and then next phase of game does look good. The real strength of the device is the fact it is all in one, as personal I don't carry a GBA all the time but I do carry a phone. So great for listening to MP3s or having a quick game of Monkey Ball on the tube.

Here's a tip Killswitch: Get yerself a decent Nokia phone and a GBA for 2/3rds the price of an N-Gage. Both are well made and inexpensive peices of hardware that fulfil all the N-Gages roles (aside from MP3 playere, but no one uses that) far more efficiently. The N-Gage is a shoddily made, awfully designed hunk of ineffective plastic.

It's also great for looking like a complete and total tosser when you answer a call ;)

    Option 1:
    1) Listen to music on the go
    2) Play the best handheld games at the moment on the go
    3) Phone people
    4) Text people
    5) Watch video clips
    6) Camera (add-on extension)

    Conclusion: N-Gage

    Option 2:
    1) MP3 Player
    2) GBA
    3) Mobile Phone (ok culd get a camera/video 1 but there r v.expensive)
    4) Digi Camera

Conclusion: Pockets full hence you not bothering to bring anything but the mobile

Not trying to argue, just trying to find in depth what the huge reason is in not buying one of these units :)

N-gage is now under £100, pay as you go virgin, like to see you get a good Nokia phone and GBA for that.

As for the MP3 player that the thing I use the most, and most N-Gage user would agree.
  13. Barn New Member

I would agree with this however I just use the speaker phone or headphones to get round the taco ear effect.
  14. Killswitch New Member

Agreed, although speakerphone for those 'private' phone calls, hmm, headphones i think there hehe

Its a Nokia not a Lada unless ur talking about the Soviet Nokiz n-gâçz *huh*

    Whadda######?

Killswitch have you actually tried using one of those chunky, fiddly and damn right innapropriately designed lumps of plastic for playing games on? And people said the Xbox controller was bad...
  17. Barn New Member

Clearly Depressed you've never used an N-Gage for a long period of time. Saying things like you'd never listen to the MP3 player, so you read Marilyn Manson songs?
  18. Killswitch New Member

lol, when i first played an n-gage i found it very odd *blink*. 5 was to do a jump and 7 was a grind, complicated or what? considering there were many many buttons. But once this is all sussed, its nice to play except the d-pad could be a bit better, bit painful on that bone in the middle of ur thumb sometimes. :( Im not 100% sure on the n-gage, but from MY short experience with them, they seem fine.
  19. Killswitch New Member

Whereabouts? (apart from a virgin store, there arent many near where i live)
  20. Depressed New Member

No, I listen to them on my iPOD. I said I'd never use the MP3 player on an N-Gage.
