As much as I hate the XBox, there is one game that seems interesting for it and that is Fable, an RPG from the creator of Populous, among other things, Peter Molyneux. (Yes, I'd rather remember him from Populous, a good game, instead of that steampile that was Black & White). Based on what I have read you start the game as a kid and everything you do will affect the outcome of you character, seems quite Black & White'ish, hopefully it will be done better this time, right now the only thing that is mentioned is the appearance changes and some villager reactions, hopefully it will be more than that tho. I can see a major fault, as based on the screenshots and trailers, you will always be the same guy, I find that very un-RPG'ish, but I asume this is done to make the game design a bit easier to handle with less variables, so I could live with it. Speaking of the villagers, here's something on the games AI. They make it sound all interesting and innovative, but there is some mods for Morrowind that make that game behave the same way. The main site has quite a few screenshots, but start with the "story", it kinda explains the idea of the game. There is more screenshots here and here and this is a direct download link to the second trailer from there (I HATE stream media with a huge passion, especially the MS version). Oh yeah, the theme is composed by Danny Elfman, just incase you wondered why it sounded familiar Also check this movie out: PM presenting Fable at GC in Leipzig. (Hopefully it works for you, I downloaded from mirror 1 and it was corrupt, now downloading from mirror 2.) The most unfortunate thing about this game is, that it's an XBox exclusive, cos that means it will never have the moddability and following Morrowind has, of course it being a PM game, you never know, he might have a deal that it will appear for PC later. Actually after writing all that, I found this interview with PM and from what he says, I couldn't be happier, just read it Wow, now I am really looking forward to this one, it will not be the same as Morrowind, but it might have multiplayer if it comes out for PC as well

But for the moment it's Xbox exclusive. YAY! its coming out for the MAC! Seriously, I think that Pete is one of the great minds in gaming today. His visions of what games should involve are similar to my own ideas of the future of gaming. I have always loved his games. Populous 2 was the first game I missed school over I used to know a guy who knew someone at Lionhead studios. I couldnt get hold of him for a few days, turned out he had gone to see his mate and had a tour of the place. Lucky bugger, dont talk to him now though *lol* The game looks to be one of the biggest games coming out and I cant wait to get hold of it. Just hope my X-Box turns on still when i get it. AND ITS NOT A FPS!
Ok, I have just finished watching the presentation PM made at Leipzig, it is worth the near 70MB download, just use the mirror 2, the 1st mirror seems to be corrupt. And Dio, in that he mentions it might come out for PC, not MAC *lol* Damn, I can't wait for the PC version, I can only imagine the kinds of mods you could have on it
CoughPC Version Any one?Cough It seems to be the way with MS make a game Exclusive and then give it to another format two months later. Pointless. When u get PS" or Game Cube xclusives they do not appear elsewhere especially on Cube
Due to me rejecting my xbox and selling it, i can only hope for it to appear on p.c, my personal opinion thats in my favour of course.
Fable looks ######ing amazing. But, like Half Life 2, I'll have to stick to the Xbox version (shit PC)
Thats if HL2 even arives on Xbox. And quite frankly would u buy it if the pulled down version ever came out?

sweet PC version' could be great! Another thing i can look in to... Back off Topic: HL2 will have backwards compatabilty. It will be designed for high end systems (Obviously) but will have a mode that strips down textures and detail to allow it to run on (apparently) just a Pentium 2!!! This makes sense as the multiplayer function is gonna work on 56K (Thank you)
