Halloween is one of our favorite holidays here at OnLive and to celebrate we decided to do something memorable, something big. We took a look at the OnLive catalog, found four games to capture all the facets of Halloween and then we decided to make them completely free to play all weekend long. You didn’t have plans for Halloween weekend, did you?

We picked some awesome games, including:
    • Amnesia: The Dark Descent
    • F.E.A.R. 3
    • Metro 2033
    • Orcs Must Die

All Halloweekend long players will have the option of logging on via PC, Mac, or the OnLive Game System to play any – or all – of these four games for free. No discs, no downloads, just instant high-quality gameplay regardless of device.

In addition, as a special bonus, if you ‘like’ OnLive on Facebook you can play a fifth mystery game on Halloween for free as well. Just go to OnLive’s Facebook page on October 31st for all the details, www.facebook.com/onlive.

Every one of these games is excellent and unique so play as much as you like of each, or focus on one to satisfy your gaming itch.

If you want something to really frighten you, Amnesia: The Dark Descent is the way to go. Another indie title, this game is truly a piece of art when it comes to the horror genre. Even our favorite critic over at Zero Punctuation said—well, we won’t repeat exactly what he said, but trust us, it scared the pants off him.

F.E.A.R. 3, for those of you unfamiliar with it, is the third in a series of blood-chilling FPS’s. It’s the first of that series to offer truly stellar co-op and multiplayer modes. You can play either as good guy Point Man or as his evil brother, Paxton Fettel. It’s one heck of a creepy family reunion as you and your brother track down the psychic remains of your mother.

If you like the sound of a suspenseful post-apocalyptic FPS, take a shot at Metro 2033. You survived the nuclear destruction of the planet, but you live below ground, haunting what used to be the Moscow metro system. You band together with other survivors to protect your station from mutants, rival humans, and any other threats that may arise. And a new threat has arisen that might destroy what little is left of your world—a threat that is slowly invading your mind.

Finally, Orcs Must Die is a great indie title that only recently came out. It’s a fast paced, quirky game with plenty of humor and plenty of orcs. We’ve had a blast playing it and we think you will, too. Just remember to make good use of your traps!
If you’ve been curious and wanted to give one of these games a whirl, there’s no better time than this Halloweekend!

Also, don’t forget to check back with us on Facebook on Monday morning for all the details on how you can play our Halloweekend surprise mystery game. www.facebook.com/onlive.
    Happy Halloween!
