i read in my bro's Cube mag that some people have found a new map for the n64 Goldeneye it was a prototype and never finshed
Also how come MOH rising sun is a 2 disk game on game cube

The discs are too small - holds nothing like as much as a DVD.

    thats not strictly true....

EA often do not bother compressing the games on to the disk so they just bung it on two for ease of money...

Ninty made small disks to stop piracy (Which is apparently flooding the PS2 market). Piracy has stopped so thats why.

Not really a problem unless you want to cram tonnes of FMV in to a game. However a normal game fits on to it nicely. MOH the exception.

For example RE4 is coming on 1 disk and thats got more graphical kick than Half life 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

occarina of Time had the biggest game coding on the N64 and that still stands. FMV takes up space very much. MGS2 on ps2 for example contains just 3Mb of game code!!!!!!! and 2 Gb of Vid. The disks are not too small for games just movie...

    Fair enough.
MGS2 has all of the animations, the polygon demos, audio, and skins - that would take up a lot of space. I expect that there's a hell of a lot more than 3Mb of game code, though...quite a complex game.

apparently that was the compressed code for the AI and engine. Remember that most console use codexes to unzip the code.

Obviously that does not take in to account sound and images.

    I suppose it makes sense.
