Nokia have revised their N-Gage release schedule, pushing Sega Rally back to April and Marcel Desailly Pro Soccer to March. Plus there is still no sign of Taito Memories. A possible explanation of why there is nothing to be launched January & February is that Nokia are increasing the security of their copy protection. The UK N-Gage release dates look as followed:

    March
    13th Marceille Desailly Pro Soccer

    April
    9th Virtua Cop
    16th Sega Rally
    23rd Alien Front Online
    23rd Requiem of Hell

    May
    Tiger Woods- PGA
    Ashen

    2nd Quater
    Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon
    Operation Shadow: Theatres of War
    Worms

Ahh Still the N-Gage offers nothing of interest. Old games translated poorly and new games badly made. When will this thing do anything other than make you look stupid when making a call?

I think we should lay off the N-Gage, we seem to be treating it pretty harshly...

    NAH!

(to the tune of 'Ere We Go!)
    Na-Gage sux,
    Na-Gage sux,
    Na-Gage suuuuux,

    Na-Gage sux,
    Na-Gage sux,
    Na-Gage suuuuux......

Someone I know's got one. Damn it looks horrible. Sounds alright, though, I suppose...

Yeah, but sound ain't that important, is it?
  10. insert_name New Member

Not incredibly - I mean, look at FIFA and Pro Evo.

I love the fact that we have games with massive ochestral soundtracks in 5.1 digital surround sound. Beeps and boops dont sound as good coming out of my home theatre :D

BUT I'd rather play a game with crap sound but great graphics and gameplay than a game with fiddly controls, shite graphics, shoddy level design, mind numbing difficulty, a shoddy storyline but the worlds greatest ever soundtrack featuring the ghosts of Elvis and Hendrix, a choice selection of the greatest, most talented orchestras the world over and shatteringly high prod values. Even if it featured Marilyn Manson I wouldn't be swayed!

Yeah but I was saying that if ya remember the tunes that the 48k Spectrum speaker ( which was built in under the keyboard for those that dont know ) beat out (sounded like a flea with a drum kit) then you will apreciate the sound we have on games these days. Except for thos THPS games, te music is just drivell :D

Mostly yes. Unless of course you're talking MetalGear Solid or Final Fantasy type music.
  15. Depressed New Member

Cor, that brings back memories. Final Fantasy 8 had, in my opinion, the best soundtrack in any game EVER!

...and how in hell's name can you get Virtua Cop on the N-Gage? A miniscule light-gun?
  17. Barn New Member

It's going to be a FPS
  18. insert_name New Member

    Ah - je comprends.

FPS on handhelds still dont cut the mustard, should be interesting though considering i was quite impressed by the n-gages graphics compared to those of the gba.
