Just got hold of a copy of this fantastic racer. REALLY good tho not sure if its a GT3 beater, certainly a different type of game.

Tho only 30fps, this game flies like shit off of a shovel and when you can, snap up a copy.

Some absolutely gorgeous looking/sounding Ferraris in there and apparently around 200 real life models, seen maybe 50 or so so far and all different cars and not variants of different models.

erm I got Midnight Club 2 on pc and its great fun, the online stuff is superb as well. NFS Underground is a stunning title but is getting a bit samey after playing it for a while, dunno bout PGR2.

I have both NFS:U and PGR2 both are enjoyable in their own way and both totaly stuff Midnight Club2.

NFS:U awesome sense of speeed and Drifting is soooo wicked.

PGR2 to get all cars you will need to complete game in single player differenet cars for different levels. Best bit of alll is Online racing against people from all over the world. And whipping their asses once your good enough.

I have both and played and finished NFS:U first which helped with my car control in PGR2.

Thats why I like my PC for racing games. Most of them are online.

Lets not forget the drag racing! First time ever in a driving game i have actually 'felt' like im reaching the speeds stated :)
  14. Cliffey009 New Member

I agree with need for speed it has some awesome grapics and it is a pretty pimp game but if u want realism then i would have to suggest pgr2 that game is so realistic i get upset if i ding the car im driving
  15. Depressed New Member

Sorry, but PGR2 really isn't that realistic. It's a great game, but in terms of realism you need Gran Turismo 4.
  16. Cliffey009 New Member

what do u mean its not realistic, I agree that grand turismo is realistic but the cars in there are insane as in u will never see them in your life. Its crazy. In pgr2 the cars are real, the driving is pretty real, and u have to use the break to go around a corner. It is a pretty realistic game to me. and believe me ive tried both
  17. Killswitch New Member

yeah for realism i'd av to go for Gran Turismo 4, plus if u avnt got broadband for PGR2 there isn't any sorta quick race like on NFS, only time trial and career mode are available. So its a bit too limited, although the selection of cars is ace ;)

Don't get me wrong, PGR2 is a great game, but GT4 is definately more realistic. And the cars aren't "Insane" until you get to the higher levels. They're just as down market as PGR2's before that. And which car you own doesn't affect realism, it's the way they handle.
  19. Cliffey009 New Member

Okay Okay i agree with that last comment, I understand that GT4 is as realistic as PGR2 in the beiggining but once u get out of the sunday cup and thigns like that the cars get insane. you know they do. I like to be able to look at my car and be like wow theres like only 500 of those real life. Not wow there might be some racing circuit that using a cart that looks sorta like that. NFS is a pretty hot game though and the online feature is cool. Can't argue with that one.

I havent played NFS online yet, totally addicted to the single player! so the lifespan is deffinately there
