One of the best selling games of al time is Croc on the Ps1, the simple reason is that it was cheap and kids liked the box. Just coz something sells well doesnt make it good. But you are right when it comes to Pokemon. There's a new cartoon series on UK SKY tv called, and get ready for this, POKEMON ADVANCED. So it's actualy plugging the GBA in the title now.
Interesting. I've seen many ppl by games by instinct without even having to look at reviews (Many of em got the good Vice City for station2) so i spose it makes sense that they put the word Advance in the TV title. Some ppl may see it and turn it on simply because it sounds like a handheld they own?

dont forget the new cube 'mon games that are on the horrizon... I really cant believe that one 'mon game sold more than Halo! But it wudn't do Ninty harm if they let it boil over for a while and focused on games like Giest. I recon it could be really good!
Very RARE ( pun very much intended ) a Nintendo game plays badly, wether it Pokemon or not. You gotta love em
It's also very RARE (pun intended again <_< ) for Nintendo to overuse a licence in this way. With Mario, you at least get originality, as with Zelda, and new Mario and Zelda games only come around every two or three years, while there have been EIGHT pokemon games since 1999. They're slipping... (I'd like to tell Dionysus in advance that I know very much how he feels about platformers and dosen't need to go slagging off Mario)
Actually i love Mario Sunshine , and dont slag off other peoples favourite games if they are of the obvious quality that mario is, just because I dont like the genre. As for Zelda, im a big fan. The truly great 2d platformers Mario World and Sonic I do like, was playing Sonic Cd just yesterday actually, but the majority and especially 3d platformers I do hate. Jump run jump Jump die start from beginning of the level....... :angry: . As for overuse of games by Nintendo, they have made a few F-zero games now... *lol*
