From what i've read here and the spec here I favour the PSP over the DS, Im not canceling out the DS completely, but this does seem like our handheld dream has finally come. From news on the DS on Nintendo.com, I cant see much that appeals to my genre of gaming. What do you all think?
The PSP looks Godly, tbh. The only problem I foresee is the battery life - saupposed to be rather poor. If they fix it, I will buy a PSP, no doubt. Well - if I can find the money...
*in a trance* errr sorry about that.......... ..........right the PSP, well i think it will kill the DS in sales aslong its not some thing stupid like £250 and i cant wait for it to come out (2005 ) but MD's = no DVD's
UMDs - Universal Media Discs. Sony will have to come up with another product that uses them if they want them to survive.
Is that a real photo on the spec link or is it a mock up? 'Cos if it's real I don't think ol' Ninty have a chance.
Think sony might be being a bit risky introducing a new format for their media. Agreed, other products will have to accept UMD's for them to continue, if the PSP is really successful perhaps there will be recording facilitys to record your DVD's onto these UMD's. Sony's own format for movies and games. Life would be simpler if they just accepted DVD's, but this defys the point of the PSP's size and of course, if your playing it in on travel and rocking it left and right, the DVD's would probably skip n stuff.
The design of the psp is pretty Cr#p really it looks as if ..... ah i dunno but it dont look anywhere near as good as a DS i have been supporting nintendo since the 80's and all of their products have shown initiative, and have all offered something new. this is mostly because of shigsy. and i am expecting even more great things from the Big N over future years
The design of the psp is no way crap, if you think that your a fool, As for Nintendo I think Sony will continue owning Nintendo like they have for the past 7 years

I like the PSP i just recently got one...i always use it on the way to school and on the way home on the bus and sometimes in the class I like the fact that you can get on the internet but only when there is wireless around which sucks but its all good
