Don't have live. <_< Prefer only paying for one systems online gaming, that's the pc, paying for 2 would be a bit extravagant. B)
I just spent about $500 on the Xbox and live and wirless connections and it was worth every pennie i am a avid online gamer but Xbox Live is the shit so far i have only played rainbow 6 but halo 2 is on its way, so i am looking forward to it. GAMETAG - Typ2799
I've seen the advert, and I 've read a (very) small amount about it. From the advert, it did seem like a crap clone of SOCOM - something just doing the same, albeit less realistically, and with slightly better graphics. What exactly is it?
It's an FPS heavily based on stealth and espionage (in other words, not like SOCOM), with an extremely advanced AI system (not like SOCOM) which includes voice recognition technology (more advanced then SOCOM). It is nothing like SOCOM whatsoever aside from the similar theory behind the plot (elite team after terrorists) and the fact that voice recognition features in it. Plus it's rock hard (I'm stuck on the second mission). AND IT ROCKS!
Fair enough. SOCOM has its bloody hard bits, despite crap AI. Heard mucho news about a conversion for this for PS2 (I'm not talking about fanboy rumours), so I might end up getting it. If Live's so damn good with it, PS2 Network Play should be too...
Never come across any... ...but THUG does lag (I mean, on koth you don't get the crown) uber-loads. Whereas THPS4 only did when evil 56kers were playing. (Steal our bandwidth, eh? Will you?! Good, that's it - make games Broadband only...)

What's this, the bodies disappear? Pff...it's on the 'most powerful console' and the bodies of your deceased enemies don't linger about... *Jabs whoever developed it* There are PS2 (the 'least powerful console') games with graphics just as good where the bodies stay!
56K modem internet games run just as well as Broadband ones. MTA is a shining example of that. I Think Making Games broad band only would be (And is) a feckin stupid idea (Microsoft cough) because less than 3 % of the worl actually has broadband. What about the other 97% that has 56K? Thank you PC games
MTA is made with 56k in mind so thats why it runs well I like my under 50 pings i get so i dont mind either way
I like Broadband...I like playing against other people on Broadband. 56k is ok and all, but only on games with minsiscule pings (like Half-life). I'll stick with Broadband.

But id probably buy an xbox if u could play online with a 56K option. 56K isnt dead yet as Developers of HL2 have said it will again be optimised for us 56Kers! . Hang on maybe i would not get an exbox. Alot few of my friends have jacked their cubes for one but Im not convinced that it has what i want. I still hear ppl saying that Gam Cube is crap and I have to repeat the words "Twin Snakes, Killer 7, Geist, Game Zero" --All FPS and i look at exclusive xbox ones and all i see is Halo 2...Hmm...Fable sounds good but every one i have heard has said it rips of Baiten Kaitos and Harvest Moon on Cube, So maybe no. Alot of Xbox exclusives become multiformat so I cant trust Microsoft to keep their word (Splinter Cel, RS6 etc...). We'l probably see Halo 2 for PC gamers eventually even though microsoft say otherwise. In the end they are like the whole industry money grabbers. Im dissapointed with this generation of consoles in general. Give me back my N64 and the dedicated brilliance it gave me (unlike its rival at the time...)
Man admit it, N64 blew goats! As you know I have an X-Bolox and I havent turned the thing on for months. No point in selling it as I wouldnt get a decent price but I even turn my megadrive on more then the X-Bore. The games are just not good enough. As a games machine it has failed miserably and I think it will be the first of the machines to get kicked out of peoples homes in the long run. Not even halo 2 with its dated ideas will be worth a purchase if you ask me. The first Halo came at a time when people needed a good console fps, now there are many. Poor software, poor line-up.....sounds like the No-gage
Will u please stop rippin on the X Box. I have a PS2 and an Xbox and i seem to be playing the Xbox like its my job. PS2 has some good games but the Xbox seems to be the machine for me. Its fast, has good graphics and has some great games. Screw you for saying that Halo 2 will suck. That game will kick ass and crush and FPS out there. End of discussion.
Not at all. It seems that poeple think Halo 2 will be good just because it's called Halo2. I havent read anyone saying WHY it will be better than say HL2, Doom3, etc etc. All the footage I have seen looks very VERY pedestrian. Oh and I am allowed to rip on the X-Box because I own one.
