Mine has to be Shenmue. The game was amazing. I got it christmas day with my dreamcast and was playing it with an evil hangover but still loved it to bits. Comiing a close secoond has to be Code Veronica as well though, that game was just soooo goood. :)

Personally I can't stand Resident Evil, especially Code Veronica. The only game I can think of which has been more overhyped is Ghost Recon.

Yes, Shenmue was amazingly brilliant, as was the sequel.

    Rez.

    Genius.

Shenmue 1 and 2 were amazing too, Ikaruga still gets a blast now and then.

And i almost forgot, the game that had my phoneline cut off for 3 months after not being able to afford the bill (£634.73), millions of memory cards, Keyboard, Datel Exploder all equated to approx £750 in total.

    The Culprit?

    Phantasy Star Online

Oh and also, the GC and Xbox versions have been bought so nearer the £800 mark... Oh, and the Gamecube Keyboard and Broadband Adaptor too and ermmm probably Episode 3 aswell.

I make that close to £1000...

Still have'nt played the sequel to Shenmue. i know it's a BIG sin but I just have'nt seen it around. Sure I seen it on other consoles but I want the dreamcast version so I can use my save game from number 1.

Guess I will have to put it on my small 20ft long list of games to search for when I remember :D

As for PSO, you will probably tell me I am crazy but i never got online with the Dreamcast so i never got into it :(

Another real gem was Fur Fighters. I'll be getting the spookily similar Conker: Live and Uncut on Xbox, but it dosen't look as if it'll be in the same league as Fur Fighters. Now there was a game that stole many an hour away from my time when I was supposed to be doing urgently out of date GCSE coursework...[sigh]

Gotta love Capcom vs Snk 2 as well. Better than the ps2 version as well. :D
  9. Depressed New Member

    Yup.

The DC version of Fur Fighters was superior to the PS2 version as well.

Similarly with Dead or Alive 2, and I just got hold of Ikaruga , that looks better as well imo. ahhh Dreamcast, you went waaaaaay before your time. :sniff: :(

    cries " WHY GOD WHY???"

Anyway, I got Super Puzzle Figher x, for my DC the other day. Man anybody got past akuma? That guy is impossible to beat. I tried for 1 hour solid!!!!!

You played the DC version of Tomb Raider: Last Revelation? Honestly, that was SO much less fiddly than the PSone versions!

And yeah, Akuma is bloody difficult. I gave up.
  16. Dionysos New Member

I got it for £3 second hand and never played it. I might after you said that.

It's preferable to Angel of Darkness anyway!

So are most forms of torture lol

It should be a Monty Python sketch.

Spanish Inquisitor: "Cardinal Fang! Get me...
    TOMB RAIDER: ANGEL OF DARKNESS!"

Victim: "No, not that! Anything but that! Not those unresponsive controls, jerky frame rates, unfair deaths and crappy RPG elements! NOOOOOOOOOO! Are you that heartless?!"

    ;)

We could use it to get Saddam to cough up about the WMD. :p
